描述
What happens
A tool event copies command or url into the activity label, cut at 60 characters, with no redaction. The tray icon tooltip prints that label on each refresh through AgentActivity.DisplayText. The gateway client log deliberately omits the label because it can carry a command, path, or URL. A ?token= in the first 60 characters is still shown on the tooltip.
Where
Checked on 7967d509 by reading the code. A tool event was not sent from a live gateway.

Suggested fix
Redact URL userinfo, query, and fragment before the label is stored. Keep the tool name and phase, which the client log already records.
Environment
Windows 11. OpenClaw Companion source on main at commit 7967d509886fc9efecbb19c8236350a82867f69c (2026-11-04). No packaged installer build was used.
Steps
- Receive a gateway tool event whose
args.commandorargs.urlis longer than a short label and contains a query. - Hover the tray icon while that activity is current.
- Read the tooltip.
OpenClawGatewayClient.HandleToolEvent copies the first 60 characters of command or url into AgentActivity.Label. DisplayText includes that label. TrayTooltipBuilder prints CurrentActivity.DisplayText. The client log already omits the label.
Repair
Store a redacted label: drop URL userinfo, query, and fragment before truncation. Add a regression that a ?token= query is not in DisplayText. Stop there. The copied support bundle is #2008.
