The work is in registry.py, which defines run_checks_async, register_partial and CheckMessage.is_serious. Start by reading those three definitions and the framework tests that currently exercise them indirectly. Done means new unit tests call each of the three functions directly and cover their main branches, and the test suite passes.

描述
We could do better testing around shared functions in registry.py. Right now most of these are tested through framework tests. Having tests that hit run_checks_async directly could give us more confidence.
