Description
In the VS Code 1.144 release notes, the placeholders {{cwd}} and {{shellToolName}} are missing from the rendered page, even though they are correctly present in the Markdown source.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open https://code.visualstudio.com/updates/v1_144#_richer-editing-for-github-copilot-custom-agents
- Navigate to the Richer editing for GitHub Copilot custom agents section.
- Check the Body features bullet point.
Actual Behavior
The placeholders are missing from the rendered text:
placeholders such as and are recognized and show hovers.
Expected Behavior
The placeholders should be displayed as inline code:
placeholders such as `{{cwd}}` and `{{shellToolName}}` are recognized and show hovers.
Additional Context
The Markdown source contains both placeholders correctly:

This appears to be a rendering or build-time processing issue rather than an error in the Markdown source.
A similar issue was previously reported in #3977, where double curly braces were removed during the documentation build. The maintainer noted that double leading curly braces needed to be escaped.
This might be a recurrence of the same issue.
