The payload names no source files or tests, only a Copilot chat prompt that updates a pom.xml with a vulnerable Apache POI 5.3.0 dependency. Start by reproducing that prompt in the Eclipse plugin to see which CVE-check tool call returns the contradictory results for 5.4.0, 5.4.1 and 5.5.0. Done would be a consistent CVE check and a pom.xml update to a fixed POI version. The issue needs maintainer triage before a newcomer can locate the code.

Describe the bug
copilot answers to check a pom.xml with vulnerable dependencies with "One inconsistency: my second CVE check flagged 5.4.0, 5.4.1 and 5.5.0 too, while my first check said 5.4.0 was clean. That second result contradicts the advisory, so I'm treating it as a data error"

- Go to Eclipse, opengiuthub copilot
- create pom.xml with vulnerable poi 5.3.0 library
- tell copilot "update pom.xml, check cve , update dependencies"
- See message

Update poi to 5.4.1
