描述
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Compression takes a while in some instances because we are always performing max compression. To speed things up there has been the suggestion to change the default compression setting or add the option for users to change it.
Describe the solution you'd like
Probably add a TOML driven compression selector when we create/modify archives.
Describe alternatives you've considered
We could just change the default compression to balanced. (though this will break the currently generated archives)
Use case / impact
It will help devs and our build system generated these sources faster thus improving the dev flow.
