Problem
The online link check (maintenance-check-links-online.yml) fails on 5 man7.org links. On 2026-10-11 man7.org refused every connection from GitHub runners and from a workstation all day (curl connection refused; Wayback captured the pages with 200 on 2026-10-10). This is a host outage, not rot, so no exception was added. The weekly run stays red until it clears.
Last run: https://github.com/melodic-software/claude-code-plugins/actions/runs/38174535009 (other failures there were transient github.com 503s and a warwick.ac.uk timeout, each passing in another run that day).
Acceptance
- Re-run the online check after man7.org is reachable again; confirm the 5 links pass.
- If man7.org stays down for weeks, repoint those links to an equivalent authoritative page (for example freedesktop.org or kernel.org man pages, as provisioning#759 did) rather than adding an exception.
