Start by locating uses of package:flutter/material.dart across the Flutter client SDK and reading how theming is currently handled. The flutter client sdk relies on import 'package:flutter/material.dart'; which is deprecated in newer versions of flutter.
I think it could be a good opportunity to get rid of the material dependency and add an abstraction layer on theming, allowing more design system to be used. (cupertino, fluent_ui, forui etc)
The new material package is material_ui and is available on pub.dev.
