The payload names no files, so start by reproducing in the app: open the shortcut recorder for a button action and press Cmd+C, then compare with the config the app writes, which currently serialises keyPress as ["command"]. Find the recorder view that captures the key event and the model that converts it into the keyPress array; the bug is likely that the recorder reads only modifier flags and drops the key code. Done means recording Cmd+C stores both the command modifier and "c" in keyPress, as the expected screenshot shows. Related discussion #859 is worth reading first.

Environment:
- MacOS 27.0
- MacBook Pro M1
- German Keyboard
- Linear Mouse installed via
brew install --cask linearmouse
I tried to create a keyboard shortcut for my external mouse to use copy/paste for additional buttons.
Whenever I record e.g. "Cmd + C" or "Cmd + V" only the Command button gets recorded.

How could I overwrite this in the config file if recording does not work?
