描述
Parent: #1117. The HTTP::Message 7.04 rerun now passes on both PerlOnJava backends (23 files, 871 tests each); system Perl passes the same suite with optional dependencies enabled (23 files, 884 tests). LWP 6.83 passes on system Perl and both backends (23 files, 330 tests each), and the utf8::downgrade reference regression passes on all three.
The remaining documented acceptance work is stale: dev/cpan-reports/cpan-compatibility.md and cpan-compatibility-fail.dat still classify HTTP::Message as 869/871 FAIL from 2026-09-26, while smoke/support documentation still records HTTP::Message as already passing without the new full-suite evidence.
Acceptance criteria
- Refresh the HTTP::Message CPAN compatibility classification from a current report run using the report publication workflow.
- Update the stale HTTP::Message statements in
dev/modules/smoke_test_investigation.mdanddev/modules/lwp_useragent.mdwith dated, scoped evidence. - Link the Catalyst Runtime follow-up for the remaining downstream acceptance failure.
