tl;dr -- Astropy adopted NumFOCUS code of conduct but also added specific examples (discussed extensively in #669 and Astropy Coordination Meeting 2025). Perry Greenfield suggested that these examples could be generalized and moved upstream to NumFOCUS code of conduct proper.
