Description
On Windows, the desktop app's "Toggle Full Screen" (View menu, or F11 via the native menu role) makes the window cover the entire screen including the taskbar. The app's own chrome (tab bar, window controls) stays visible, so the only practical effect is losing access to the taskbar — effectively a maximize that also hides the taskbar. Other desktop apps on Windows either keep the taskbar usable when filling the screen, or hide their own chrome for a true immersive fullscreen.
Expected: fullscreen on Windows should not cover the taskbar (maximize-like), or should hide the app chrome for a real immersive mode.
Steps to reproduce
- Open the desktop app on Windows (window maximized).
- Press F11 (or View → Toggle Full Screen).
- The window covers the taskbar; tab bar and window buttons remain on screen. Pressing F11 again restores the window.
Environment
- Desktop app 1.19.0 (@opencode-aidesktop), Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (build 19045), 1920×1080 @150%
- Also present on current source: packages/desktop/src/main/native/menu-actions.ts still calls win.setFullScreen(!win.isFullScreen()) for view.toggleFullscreen, and the View menu item still uses role "togglefullscreen" (F11), so the behavior is unchanged on dev (i.e., not fixed in 2.0).
