The payload names no files. Start by finding where flavors, images, regions and services are fetched through the gophercloud client, and decide where a shared TTL cache would sit and what TTL to use. The issue leaves those choices open, so ask the maintainer before building. Done means repeated listings within the TTL are served from the cache, and the data refreshes once the TTL expires.
