maybe name it better, or more consistently w similar concepts in edacommon? make an s3 class for it perhaps? decide if display labels belong as part of variable details, or even in plot.data at all? seems plot.data wont have a need to create display labels, and would probably only ever be passing them along and we can probably find a better way of doing that?
