Start by locating the GUI code that handles the available cameras list and the dropdown populated from "cameras"; run the application to reproduce the empty-dropdown behavior when the value is null. Done means the interface visibly indicates that no cameras are available instead of showing only an empty dropdown.

Currently, if the list of available cameras is null, the only result is an empty dropdown. It would be nice to have a visible error screen or some sort of indication to the user that there are no available cameras for the case where "cameras" is null.
