Reproduce the issue in Simula by focusing a different window in virtual reality and observe whether the focused area receives repeated '.' keystrokes. Compare this with a normal X11 GNOME session, where the issue does not occur. Done means changing focus no longer sends the repeated keystroke.

when changing focus to a new window (looking at a different window) whatever part of the window that is focused gets a spammed '.' keystroke. This only happens in Simula and not in my normal x11 GNOME session.
