This is an Android IME clipboard/paste change: locate where paste from the clipboard, the Paste key, and long-press/suggestion paste are handled, then decide how line breaks versus hyphens are stripped based on the entry path. Confirm current paste paths in the keyboard input connection code and add a user-visible choice only if the issue’s two paste modes can be distinguished. Done when both paste styles work as described and existing paste still inserts text.

Please implement a feature to remove hyphens when pasting text (so that you can choose to paste it with the original formatting preserved or just plain text): for example:

User choice. Perhaps, for example, the "Paste" button could paste with line breaks, but if you paste using the pop-up suggestion button or from clipboard (long press), it should paste without hyphens.
