Found by the blind critic on the small batch. It already happens on 3639579.
CI scope classification treats a symlink docs/link.md -> ../src/foo.c as a docs-only change, so a PR can edit what a C path points at while code=false skips the suite. The critic's reproducers are in ~/src/wt/critic-es-small-r1/repro/.
