The payload names no files, tests or entry points. It asks design questions: whether chains belong in the definition JSON or a separate composite entity, how errors in a middle step reach the agent, where response mapping applies, and how this overlaps with AI skills. The knowledge graph tells an agent which tool to call next. The next step is letting an operator declare a chain once — "look up the order, then the customer, then the tracking number" — and expose it as a single tool.
Open questions, and the reason this is an issue rather than a task
- Is this a new tool type in the definition JSON, or a separate "composite" entity?
- How do errors in step 2 of 3 surface to the agent?
- Does response mapping apply per step, at the end, or both?
- Does it overlap enough with AI skills (which already encode "how we do this here") that one of the two should not exist?
