The change is in the optimizer's global state, where thread-local values are wrapped in RefCell. Search the optimizer code for RefCell globals that hold primitive types, such as integers or bools, and check how they are read today. Done means those globals use Cell, reads go through global.with(Cell::get), and the existing tests still pass.
