Desktop app: cannot copy text from assistant output

Summary

In the desktop app I cannot copy text out of the assistant's output. Copy-paste is core to how I iterate — read a response, quote the relevant part, add further instructions — and that loop is impossible in the UI.

Expected Behavior

Text in an assistant response should be selectable and copyable, with a per-message (and per-code-block) copy button that writes the raw markdown. Copying a paragraph and pasting it into my next prompt, with extra instructions appended, should just work.

Actual Behavior

Selecting text in the assistant output does not copy, and there is no copy affordance on a message. To reuse part of a response I have to retype it or re-ask for it. Copy is fundamental to prompting — the user reads the model's output, quotes it, and adds direction — so the missing copy path blocks normal workflow.

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Open the desktop app and send any prompt that returns a multi-paragraph response.
2. Select text in that response and press Cmd+C, or look for a per-message copy button.
3. Paste elsewhere — nothing is copied / no affordance exists.

Command Code Version

Desktop app 0.1.35 (bundle ai.commandcode.desktop); the bundled CLI reports 1.58.0. Using the app version because this is a UI issue.

Fix prompt (optional)

Add copy support to assistant output in the desktop app. Make response text selectable and add per-message and per-code-block copy buttons that write the raw markdown to the clipboard (including fenced code, reasoning, and tool output). Verify: select a paragraph from a long response, copy it, paste into a new prompt, and confirm the text matches the original exactly, with code fences preserved.

macOS 26.6.2 (build 25G83), arm64.

Workarounds that exist today: /copy copies the last response, /export md|html|jsonl dumps the session, /ide shares the open file plus selected lines. These help but do not substitute for in-UI copy.
