调研方向

The issue references summon behavior in #548 but does not name files, tests, or entry points. Start by reading #548 and locating the code that handles bot travel and room access. The open questions about access rules, permissions, and consent need decisions before completion can be defined.

描述

Requested by Justin in Commons Fairground.

Driving

Bots aren't driving to rooms. Driving should always be the default way a bot gets to a room. The only exception is summon (#548), which can be available to everyone, but driving stays the default.

Room permissions

Example: Kernel Labs. If I can go there, get in, and summon a bot there, and that bot now has access, that room counts as public to me. A private room is one nobody can get into (no entry, no summon in).

Open questions

  • Should a summoned bot get the same room access as one that drove there?
  • Are there levels between public and private (invite-only, owner's friends)?
  • Who can change a room's permission, and how is it shown in the room?
  • How does this interact with #548's summon rate limits and friend-summon consent?
