Summary
During the task proposal countdown card, pressing any key pauses the timer but drops the keypress event, leaving selection focus on option 1 ("start it") and causing a subsequent Enter to run the task.
Observed Behavior
When the countdown card appears, typing 2 (decline) freezes the clock but fails to select the decline option. The cursor remains on 1 start it. Hitting Enter immediately starts the paid task worker.
Expected Behavior
Pressing option keys (1, 2, or designated shortcut keys) during the countdown should register the keypress and immediately execute the corresponding choice.
Reproduction Steps
- Trigger a task proposal in interactive chat to bring up the countdown card.
- While the countdown ticks, press
2to decline. - Observe that countdown freezes, but selection does not move to
2 decline. - Press
Enter. The task starts executing.
Root Cause / Location
TUI key event handling in internal/tui3 consumes the raw event to halt the countdown timer ticker instead of propagating the key to the card's action dispatcher.
