描述
Followup to #11313
Objective:
To provide a new, modern, and maintainable icon management and generation model.
New process to generate and manage icons
- Reference an index of icon props
- Batch process icons
- Support specific icon Instantiation for edge cases
Deliverables
- MVP for icon generation and management
- Supporting documentation
- Clean, well groomed implementation code
Long term enhancements
- Icon index is independent of Figma, React, or any on framework
- Design, dev, core dev can modify this index (likely managed in github) to support new and/or remove deprecated icons
- Connect core, react, design, and more to this single source of truth
- Leverage a human readable code format (JSON requires syntax knowledge design may not have and is especially hard read when minified)
- The established solution should be clear, concise, immediately recognizable
