Start with module/Scalar-List-Utils/t/isvstring.t and run nice -n 19 make test-bundled-modules to confirm the failing dotted-num assertion. Then trace the isvstring behavior for dotted numeric strings; the issue does not name the implementation file. Done means the assertion passes and the bundled-module gate no longer reports this failure.

Reproduction
On master at 5193a5e8ffb5604aefdda91feb39b93f2adefcff, run the bundled-module gate:
nice -n 19 make test-bundled-modules
The full run completed 410 tests with 7 failures. module/Scalar-List-Utils/t/isvstring.t fails its first assertion:
not ok 1 - dotted num
This reproduces on the base branch, so it predates PR #1679. Please investigate the isvstring behavior for dotted numeric strings.
