Start from how the engine currently loads server/conf/mirth.properties at startup and where that path is hardcoded. Trace property loading so an optional override file (e.g. mirth-site.properties or a JVM-argument path) can be merged after the base file. Done means upgrades and env-specific deploys can change settings without editing the shipped properties file, with the load order documented.
