描述

My colleague @manuq set this up in Threadbare as follows:

  1. Switch from pre-commit to prek, a Rust reimplementation with extra features
  2. Wait for prek to add a new language: mise mode for external dependencies
  3. Use this to install gdscript-formatter https://github.com/endlessm/threadbare/blob/main/.pre-commit-config.yaml#L52-L66

The nice thing about this approach is that it does not require each developer to manually install gdscript-formatter (as with language: unsupported), and does not require each developer to have a complete rust toolchain and build the formatter from source (as with language: rust). I didn't consider either of these appropriate for our project, so I'm noting this third approach here!
