描述
Reported 2026-11-03 on a Windows 11 test machine (9.4.x per-user MSI): uninstalling ECCE is very slow.
The 9.4.8 package holds 13,337 files (zip of the same tree), most of them the bundled Python, Perl and MSYS2 runtime. Windows Installer removes and logs each component, so time grows with the file count; custom actions run at uninstall may add to it.
To do: time an uninstall with a verbose log (msiexec /x <msi> /l*v uninstall.log) and see where the time goes (file removal, custom actions, rollback script); then reduce it (fewer components, e.g. one component per directory for the bundled runtimes, or the runtimes in an archive unpacked at first start).
