描述
Problem
In PowerShell, a backtick followed by a newline inside a word is an escape. It does not end the word.
- Input:
Remove-Item a+ backtick + newline +b - pwsh passes one argument:
"a<newline>b". - SST reports two arguments:
aandb.
Impact
- The value of the word is wrong.
- The fault does not hide a command.
"$+backtick+newline+(...)"stays literal in both pwsh and SST, and an unquoted$+backtick+newline+(...)fails closed. - A consumer that checks paths can check the wrong path.
Expected
- SST gives one argument with the exact value that pwsh passes.
- If SST cannot give that value exactly, the word value is
Unknown(fail closed).
