Research direction

Start by reviewing merge #5 and the existing Linux clipboard path that invokes xclip. Determine how Wayland should use wl-clipboard, then verify clipboard operations under Wayland while retaining working X11 behavior.

Description

I saw merge #5, happy to see changes for Linux support being added. However, xclip will not work under Wayland.

https://github.com/bugaevc/wl-clipboard seems to be gaining traction as the defacto replacement, and is officially packaged by Fedora (I haven't checked others, this is likely true there as well).

This seems like a detail that will need addressed somehow, especially with the increasing traction behind Wayland. So I wanted to note it here.
