Problem
  1. .github/dependabot.yml:14-23 ignores typescript >= 7 and graphql >= 17, but does not ignore @types/node >= 25 while .nvmrc pins Node 24, causing Dependabot to open invalid PRs like #359 (@types/node 26.6.6) that violate scripts/node-floor.mjs.
  2. .github/dependabot.yml only monitors directory: /, leaving examples/payload-host/package.json out of sync with root package.json (payload 3.92.1 vs 3.91.0).
  3. .github/pull_request_template.md:13-31 only checks light-theme behavior and omits dark-mode verification ([data-admin-theme="dark"]), pnpm surface:check, and pnpm typecheck:payload-host.
Proposed solution

Add an ignore rule for @types/node >= 25 in .github/dependabot.yml (until .nvmrc moves), align examples/payload-host dependencies with root, and update .github/pull_request_template.md to cover both light and dark modes, pnpm surface:check, and pnpm typecheck:payload-host.
