Research direction

Read check_explainer_count.py and the Current traction table in ROADMAP.md; the issue identifies both the file count and the table cell to compare. Update the check so it detects a mismatch, then verify it fails when the counts differ and passes when they match.

Description

bug documentation

Where: ROADMAP.md (Current traction table), scripts/check_traction.py.

Current gap: The Explainers column reads 108 and the same file's Phase 1 status says 114, matching explainers/. check_explainer_count.py and check_traction.py do not read that table cell, so nothing fails.

Repro:

grep -n '108' ROADMAP.md; ls explainers/*.md | wc -l

Suggested approach: Correct the cell and teach check_explainer_count.py to compare the table's Explainers column with the file count.

Done when: the check fails when the table cell and the number of files differ.
