Research direction

Read CONTRIBUTING.md section 8 and the four named explainer files to match the existing Limitations sections and avoid adding unsupported numbers. Add three to five specific points to each section before Related Concepts, then run make build-explainers and make lint; done means the generated pages and llms-full.txt are regenerated and lint passes.

Description

documentation good first issue

Where: explainers/proxy-variables.md, explainers/sampling-bias.md, explainers/neural-networks.md, explainers/automation-bias.md.

Current gap: CONTRIBUTING.md section 8 lists a Limitations section ("Honest trade-offs and edge cases") as required in a good explainer, and 78 of the 82 explainers have one. These four do not: their headings run from the definition and the example straight to "The Bigger Picture", "Mitigation Strategies" or "Related Concepts". They are also among the most-read pages.

Repro:

$ for s in proxy-variables sampling-bias neural-networks automation-bias; do echo "$s: $(grep -ci '^## .*limitations' explainers/$s.md)"; done

Suggested approach: add a ## Limitations section of three to five numbered, specific points to each (for example, for proxy-variables: correlation thresholds are arbitrary, proxy removal also removes signal, and detection needs the protected attribute). Quote only numbers the page already computes, then run make build-explainers.

Done when: all four pages have a Limitations section placed before Related Concepts, the generated pages and llms-full.txt are regenerated, and make lint passes.
