Research direction

Start with components/projects/project-manager.tsx and store/project-store.ts to see how the sort choice is already persisted, then check lib/projects/tags.ts for tag handling. Store the favorites flag and selected tag outside the project snapshot, and make a removed tag fall back silently. Done when an end-to-end test sets a tag filter, reloads and sees it still applied, and docs/storage.md lists the new key.

Description

area: projects difficulty: easy enhancement good first issue help wanted v2.0.0

Summary

The sort of the project list is remembered, but the favorites filter and the tag filter start empty every visit. Remember them (not the search text) on this device.

Part of the 2.0.0 plan: fewer, better and fully tested studios, on a calmer and faster site.

Where to look

  • components/projects/project-manager.tsx and store/project-store.ts
  • lib/projects/tags.ts
  • docs/storage.md

Behaviour

  • Keep the favorites choice and the tag in the project store, outside the project snapshot, and drop a tag that no project has any more.
  • Show that a filter is on with a clear count, so a person never wonders where their projects went.
  • Keep the search box empty on load.

Acceptance criteria

  • An end-to-end test sets a tag filter, reloads and sees it.
  • A tag that no longer exists is ignored without an error.
  • docs/storage.md lists the key.

Getting started: fork the repo, then pnpm install and pnpm dev (Node 22+, pnpm 11, no API keys). Before opening a PR, run pnpm typecheck && pnpm test && pnpm lint && pnpm format:check && pnpm check:dashes && pnpm build (CI fails on unformatted files, so pnpm format first). See CONTRIBUTING.md and the first contribution walkthrough.

Everything needed is in the repository. This doesn't need maintainer access, secrets or paid services. Comment below to claim it, and ask questions here any time.
