Research direction

Start at window.js:399, where the Reveal in Files action creates Gtk.FileLauncher with session.file, and check whether the launcher receives a file or directory. Reproduce the action using the reported error, then verify that it opens the relevant location without the application-launch failure.

Description

When I try to "Reveal in Files" I get:

(re.sonny.Workbench:5): re.sonny.Workbench-CRITICAL **: 11:23:01.953: Gtk.DialogError: The application launch failed
_promisify/proto[asyncFunc]/</<@resource:///org/gnome/gjs/modules/core/overrides/Gio.js:454:45
_init/GLib.MainLoop.prototype.runAsync/</<@resource:///org/gnome/gjs/modules/core/overrides/GLib.js:263:34
### Promise created here: ###
Window/<@resource:///re/sonny/Workbench/window.js:399:8
_init/GLib.MainLoop.prototype.runAsync/</<@resource:///org/gnome/gjs/modules/core/overrides/GLib.js:263:34

and nothing is revealed.

That's Gtk.FileLauncher.launch failing… uhh…

    new Gtk.FileLauncher({
      file: session.file,
    })

is that even a directory? 🤔
