Start by locating the code that handles mouse clicks and generates automatic zooms, then trace how clicks on Recordly’s recording HUD are represented. The issue does not name files or tests, so first identify the recording HUD entry point and the click-to-zoom path. Done means HUD interactions no longer generate automatic zooms while ordinary screen clicks still do.

While recording the screen with Recordly, one may need to frequently pause and resume the recording.
Each time any click is done while recording, Recordly generates an auto-zoom for that. But that does not exclude the clicks on HUD.

In any general case, user does not want zooms when he/she clicks the pause button. Currently, user has to manually find out and delete each zoom that has automatically been generated whenever user has paused the recording, which is time-consuming and creates unnecessary editing work.

Describe the solution you'd like

It would be useful if interactions with Recordly's own recording HUD were excluded from the click events used to generate automatic zooms.

This will reduce the manual effort by avoiding generation of unnecessary zooms that user had to manually remove earlier and will fasten the overall workflow.

Describe alternatives you've considered

The best alternative is to add keyboard controls for HUD interactions such as Pause, Resume, Start and Stop. As the auto-zooms are generated only on mouse clicks, there won't be any unwanted zooms if the keyboard is used to interact with the HUD.

This solution can work for most cases but still isn't complete. So, it is best suited as an additional feature to the original solution I proposed.
