The payload does not name a file. Start from the EVM guide's wallet_watchAsset section and its broken GitHub Discussions link, then check whether the documented ERC-20 request shape covers ERC-721 with tokenId 0. Done means a maintainer confirms the supported ERC-721 request and chain 1404 discovery behaviour, or the guide is updated to say so. The wallet-side error needs extension-level confirmation, so a newcomer cannot finish this alone.

We need browser-extension integration guidance for an ERC-721 collectible on custom EVM chain 1404 (BDAG). Your EVM guide documents ERC-20 wallet_watchAsset, but does not establish ERC-721 import/gallery support. The guide links GitHub Discussions, which currently returns 404, so I am raising this here. Please redirect to the correct engineering channel if needed.

Reproduction

  1. Select the Trust Wallet EIP-6963 provider with rdns com.trustwallet.app.
  2. Connect the NFT owner. eth_chainId, the checkpoint block hash and ownerOf(0) confirm the account owns the NFT on the intended chain.
  3. Request wallet_watchAsset with type: "ERC721", options address and tokenId: "0".
  4. Receive error -32602: Expected an integer 'decimals'. Received: undefined.
  5. Retry keeping type ERC721 and explicitly including symbol and integer decimals 0. The same error occurs:

Questions

  1. Is ERC-721 wallet_watchAsset supported, including token ID 0, and what request shape is accepted?
  2. Does the NFT gallery/discovery support custom EVM chains, specifically chain 1404? What chain/indexer registration is required?
  3. Does NFT metadata support on-chain data-URI JSON, or require an HTTPS tokenURI?
  4. Are unsolicited NFTs hidden by default, and does the detail view expose external_url?

We intend to keep this collectible on BDAG. Ownership and website rendering work, but automatic discovery, logo display and the website link need actual wallet confirmation before distributing the holder edition. No financial transaction, signing request, seed, key or credential is part of this reproduction.
