Hướng nghiên cứu
Start by reviewing the proposed features and the screenshot in the issue; no existing files, tests, or entry points are named. Clarify whether maintainers want a new optional dotenv-ui directory, which web framework to use, and what requirements define completion before beginning implementation.
Do mô hình lập chỉ mục viết ra từ nội dung của issue.
Mô tả
Feature Idea: Web UI for .env File Management
I've created a local web dashboard for managing .env files and I'm wondering if there's interest in having something similar for python-dotenv.
Features:
- Browser-based .env file editing
- Real-time key/value editing with validation
- Comparison with .env.example
- Optional encryption features
- Local-only (security conscious)
Before I start development, I'd love to hear from the maintainers and community:
- Is this something you'd find useful?
- Any concerns or suggestions?
- Preferred technical approach (Flask, FastAPI, etc.)?
Note that a new dotenv-ui directory will be created in the root directory for this feature. It is entirely optional for users, and no changes will be made to your existing code structure.
Thanks for your feedback!
