Start with the base Copilot recovery work tracked in #88 and the upstream change in shmuelie/powershell-modules#366 to find the corresponding recovery entry points and tests. Add synthetic fixtures for large journals, conflicting or missing later lifecycle context, incomplete trailing writes, and concurrent changes. Done means recovery handles these cases consistently across listing, resume, and completion while preserving the stated evidence rules.

Upstream shmuelie/powershell-modules#366 removes whole-journal byte and line limits from read-only Copilot session identity recovery.

Acceptance criteria:

  • Scan complete journals without size, line-count, or processing-time cutoffs, while skipping conversation payloads with bounded buffers, including large individual records.
  • Preserve latest-lifecycle authority, independent repository evidence, exact historical branch checks, and conservative recorded-metadata fallback.
  • Treat incomplete trailing writes and concurrent journal changes as unavailable recovery: discard partial evidence and report only through verbose diagnostics. Keep errors for malformed or unreadable evidence.
  • Cover large journals, later conflicting or missing lifecycle context, and consistent listing/resume/completion behavior with synthetic fixtures.

Complements the base identity-recovery work tracked in #88.
