[Bug]: Motorola Edge 60 Pro native screen recording not detected by Dynamic Island

Bug Description

I have a somewhat related issue on my Motorola Edge 60 Pro running Android 17.

Motorola's native Screen Recorder notification (System UI → Screen Recorder) doesn't trigger the recording indicator in Essentials' Dynamic Island.

Notification access is enabled, and other notifications work normally. The recording notification is visible in the notification shade, but it doesn't appear in the island.

I also tested another Dynamic Island app (Smart Island), and it exhibits the same behaviour.

Could this be related to notification filtering? Does Essentials currently support detecting ongoing screen-recording notifications from OEM System UI implementations?

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Install and open Essentials on a Motorola Edge 60 Pro.
  2. Grant Notification Access and the required overlay permissions.
  3. Make sure Essentials' Dynamic Island is enabled.
  4. Open Motorola's built-in Screen Recorder.
  5. Start a screen recording.
  6. Observe the Dynamic Island while recording is active.
  7. Notice that the recording notification appears in the notification shade, but no recording indicator appears in Essentials' Dynamic Island.
Expected Behavior

When Motorola's native screen recorder starts, Essentials should automatically detect the ongoing recording session and display the Screen Recording indicator in the Dynamic Island, including the elapsed recording timer.

If supported by the system, pause and stop controls should also be accessible through the expanded island.

edit : The "Show screen recorder" option is enabled in Essentials → Timers and stopwatches → Timer options, but Motorola's native screen recording still does not trigger the Dynamic Island.

Additional Context

Additional testing:

  • Notification Access is enabled.
  • Other notifications are detected and displayed normally.
  • Essentials' Recording simulation works correctly.
  • Motorola's native Screen Recorder notification is visible under System UI → Screen Recorder.
  • The recording notification does not appear in the Dynamic Island.
  • The same behaviour was observed in Smart Island, another Android Dynamic Island application.

This may indicate an OEM-specific compatibility issue with Motorola's native screen recording implementation.

Happy to provide additional logs or perform further testing if needed.
