Start with the Jenkinsfile shown in the issue and reproduce the pipeline using the react-nativecommunity/react-native-android image. Inspect the /opt/android SDK permissions involved when gradlew assembleRelease runs; done means the Jenkins build completes without the SDK directory not writable error.
