PeriodicMetricReaderBuilder#setMaxExportBatchSize was added in #8296 and stabilized in #8829. While it is configurable programmatically and via Declarative Configuration (max_export_batch_size/development), there is currently no way to configure it via opentelemetry-sdk-extension-autoconfigure using environment variables or system properties.
Describe the solution you'd like
Support configuring PeriodicMetricReaderBuilder#setMaxExportBatchSize in MetricExporterConfiguration via the otel.experimental.metric.export.max.batch.size system property (OTEL_EXPERIMENTAL_METRIC_EXPORT_MAX_BATCH_SIZE environment variable).
Describe alternatives you've considered
- Switching to Declarative Configuration YAML (
max_export_batch_size/development), which is not always feasible for existing deployments standardized on environment variables / system properties.

- Because the environment variable is not yet standardized in the OpenTelemetry specification (and remains
max_export_batch_size/developmentinopentelemetry-configuration), using theotel.experimental.*prefix avoids committing to a stable property name prematurely.
