Reproduce ms app clone --app <id> on macOS with the reported Node.js, npm, Git Credential Manager, and CLI versions, then inspect the implementation of the app-clone command and its Git invocation. Compare the failing platform-managed repository clone flow with the working Windows behavior. Done means the command completes without the libcurl feature/protocol error and is covered by a regression test or documented verification.

Describe the bug

I'm trying to execute ms app clone on macOS 26.6.2 and it errors.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Have a macOS device
  2. Open Terminal, make sure all prerequisites are installed
  3. Execute ms app clone

Expected behavior

I expect the app to be cloned to my disk, like it does on Windows.

Actual behavior

The command gives an error:
