Bắt đầu bằng cách tái hiện ví dụ ciscoconfparse2 được cung cấp trong VS Code với Python 3.13.7, debugpy 2025.10.0 và phiên bản VS Code được liệt kê, sau đó kiểm tra việc mở rộng serial_objs thông qua các đối tượng con của nó. First I faced this behavior in my own code. Then I tried to run code from manual for testing.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start debuging the code.

  2. execute line serial_objs = parse.find_objects("^interface Serial")

  3. In Variables window try to expand object serial_obj
    serial_obj -> 0 -> all children -> 0

  4. VS Code freezes

  5. Afrer clicking red square button several times the xode execution cancelled and VS Code will unfreeze

It reproduses with all unnecessary plug-ins disabled
It reproduces in VS Code Insiders
There is no freeze in PyCharm wile expanding objects
