Start by reading devconfig.ps1 around UninstallWarning (line 124) and trace the -Action Uninstall flow to see where Ubuntu is unregistered and WSL is removed. Decide how the proposed -KeepWsl switch or -Exclude WslCleanup option fits the existing command structure; done means uninstall can preserve WSL and its distros, and the warning accurately describes what will be removed.

devconfig.ps1's UninstallWarning is Ubuntu and its files will be deleted. Targeted tools are removed even if they predate setup. (line 124 on main @ 2ac20c5), and there's no switch to keep the distro: -Action Uninstall unregisters Ubuntu, deletes its files and uninstalls WSL. People who want to reset the settings without losing their Linux environment can't.
Proposal: a -KeepWsl switch (or, with #192, -Exclude WslCleanup) that leaves WSL and its distros alone, with the warning saying which applies.
