I need some guidance on the appropriate Docker base image for our application.
Our requirement is .NET Framework 4.8 + .NET 10 Runtime + Windows Server Core LTSC 2019 or 2022, with the latest applicable Windows/.NET security updates.
In MCR, I can find the current .NET Framework 4.8 + LTSC 2019 runtime image, but for LTSC 2022, I primarily see .NET Framework 4.8.1 images. Our application is currently supported specifically on .NET Framework 4.8.
I considered using a plain Server Core 2019/2022 base and installing .NET Framework 4.8 offline, but I also need a reliable way to keep the resulting image current with Windows and .NET Framework security updates.
Could you please advise on the recommended approach for maintaining this configuration, particularly .NET Framework 4.8 on LTSC 2022/2019?
