Port of liberation-data/drivine#180, where the design is discussed. All three libraries share one storage layout, so this lands in all three together, with the same lowercased copy (__drivine.lower.<property>), the same backfill marker and the same golden statements.
Python form: email: Annotated[str, CaseInsensitive()], and range_index("Person", "email", ignore_case=True).
