The request is a version switcher at the top of the project site so readers can open instructions for a given Lem release instead of only the development branch. Inspect how the current GitHub Pages site is laid out and how pages are generated, then add a control that points at versioned copies of the same content. Done means a visitor can pick a stable version and see matching docs without leaving the site.
