Start by checking whether the affected emSign certificates are present in the operating system or container trust store used by libcurl and gRPC, and whether gRPC falls back to its bundled roots.pem. Update the system or image trust store, or rebuild against gRPC 1.84.1 or later when that fallback is used; done when the affected trust path no longer contains those certificates.

Summary
Eight eMudhra (emSign) intermediate CA certificates have recoverable private keys (Mozilla bug 2083449). Clients whose trust store still contains emSign ECC Root CA - G3, emSign Root TLS CA - G3 or AAA Certificate Services can be impersonated by an on-path attacker.
The following trust stores and code are affected
- The operating system or container image trust store, used by REST transports (libcurl) and by gRPC where a system root store is found.
- gRPC versions earlier than 1.84.1, where a bundled
roots.pemwith affected certificates is used as the fallback when no system root store is available.
You can take the following actions to resolve these issues
- Update the operating system or container base image trust store.
- Rebuild against gRPC 1.84.1 or later if gRPC's fallback
roots.pemis used.
