The work spans CLI startup, configuration loading, Node SEA packaging, PGlite development mode, and container builds. Done means all four proposal items work together, with the container remaining the primary deployment artifact.

Proposal

  • npx seamless-auth start and a single-file binary (Node SEA) against an existing Postgres
  • Config from a file as well as env, replacing scattered process.env reads with one loader
  • npx seamless-auth dev on PGlite: no Postgres, no Docker, no .env, dev keys generated
  • The container image stays the primary artifact for managed and Kubernetes deployments, built from the same code

Related: fells-code/seamless-cli#210 (add Seamless Auth to an existing app) should not wait on this.
