Define and implement a supported local-development path for Python Worker projects.
Scope
- Detect an agreed Python Worker project shape from public project metadata.
- Validate required runtime, package, and environment tooling.
- Build or prepare the Worker and start the supported local runtime.
- Forward relevant
cf devoptions, including mode, bindings, and persistence. - Report environment and dependency failures with actionable guidance.
- Shut down child processes cleanly on exit and cancellation.
Acceptance criteria
- A documented Python Worker fixture starts with
cf dev. - Source changes trigger the expected reload behavior.
- Bindings and environment configuration reach the Worker correctly.
- Missing or incompatible tooling produces a clear installation or upgrade message.
- Automated tests cover startup, reload, dependency failure, and shutdown.
